Yorktown Rotary takes Vets Fishing

Trying different baits, switching poles and nattering on about the lack of bites, elements of just another day of fishing..

Except these anglers were savoring every second.

Twice a year the Yorktown Rotary Club takes spinal cord patients from Veterans Administration hospitals out for a day of fishing and a picnic lunch. Club member Bill Reiser hosts the event, complete with his house, pier, dock, and boat named Eagle. Read more...

  1. Thanks. This is a great club project and one which the Yorktown Club is extremely proud of (rightfully so)!

    I still believe that it is these community based projects (along with club to club international projects) that makes Rotary unique in the world.
